2020 iPhones to have sensor-shift image stabilization

The 2020 iPhones are expected to bring a significant upgrade over its predecessors in 2019 but the latest rumor sounds more like an under the hood improvement. According to industry observers, the new iPhones would use sensor-shift image stabilization technology instead of the conventional stabilization of the optics. iPhones - and smartphones in general - normally rely on optical image stabilization whereas the upcoming phones are expected to come with sensor-shift stabilization where the sensor itself is moving to counteract shakes instead of the optics.
