Audio recorded from OnePlus 6/6T sounds tinny, distorted and distant on some third party apps

Some audio recorded on the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T sounds tinny, low and distorted on certain third party apps. Some of this could because these apps use the top microphone, which is designed for noise cancelling.
